Making Unforgettable Impressions
KCTS Productions has made its mark regionally, nationally and internationally by offering innovative content coupled with technological advances in delivery. Pioneering the use of high definition television since 1990 has established KCTS as a national leader in HDTV production.

The technology would be useless, however, without content that delivers more than pretty pictures. KCTS Productions has brought viewers around the world such stunning presentations as Over Canada and Over Ireland (in conjunction with RTE/Ireland), both of which helped introduce the world to the stunning clarity (twice the resolution) of high definition. KCTS credits include more than 20 HDTV productions.

Over the years, national productions from KCTS have made unforgettable impressions with viewers. The Emmy award-winning Bill Nye the Science Guy introduced millions of children to a lively, humorous approach to discovering science. The Miracle Planet, a six-part earth science series (produced in conjunction with NHK/Japan) was second only to The Civil War in public television viewing audience. Buffet & Gates on Success brought together two of the world's wealthiest people in a candid, insightful format broadcast nationally. Chihuly Over Venice followed internationally acclaimed glass artist Dale Chihuly to the world's leading glass factories, produced in brilliant high-definition television.

KCTS continues to bring new subjects, angles and approaches to the issues in our world-from lifestyle and cooking shows to cultural programs to public affairs and business.

KCTS Television, The Public Network is part of the production and distribution group Lark International, the third largest public television entity in the United States.
