About Us: Submission Guidelines

We are now seeking submissions for About Us, KCTS 9’s showcase for high quality local independent documentaries.

Guidelines for submitting works for consideration are as follows:

  • Mail or deliver submissions to KCTS Television, 401 Mercer Street, Seattle, WA 98109, Attn: Hildy Ko. Deliveries are accepted weekdays, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Ideal submissions will be as close to 25 minutes or 55 minutes as possible, but films of all lengths will be considered. Editing for time may be required for films selected for broadcast.
  • For initial screening, works should be submitted on DVD.
  • Factors that will be considered in the selection of submissions for broadcast:
    • Subject matter must relate directly to KCTS 9’s regional service area—Washington State and Western Canada.
    • Films must demonstrate strong storytelling and editorial integrity.
    • Technical quality must meet KCTS 9 broadcast standards.
  • Submissions will not be returned.
