KCTS 9 CHEFS 2008

KCTS ChefsSome restaurant dishes are so inspiring that takeout just isn't enough – you want to try them out in your own kitchen.

Every year, our viewers ask us to uncover the cooking secrets of their favorite chefs, and we're celebrating with our 13th and newest cooking special -- KCTS 9 Chefs 2008.

For a mouthwatering collection of signature recipes from the best restaurants in Washington and British Columbia, put on your apron and join hosts George Ray and Greg Atkinson for a culinary adventure!

Highlights include Chef Tom Douglas making his signature coconut cream pie and a video look back at Greg making Pear-Shaped Chicken from one of our first Chefs specials back in 1999, when he was chef at Canlis.

On the cookbook front we have something different this time, too. In addition to the new KCTS 9 Chefs 2008 Cookbook, packed with more than 200 recipes from our viewers' favorite restaurants, we have a companion cookbook, packed with hundreds of restaurant recipes from chefs who've appeared on our cooking specials over the past 10 years. It's a walk down memory lane in many cases, with recipes from restaurants that aren't here anymore, such as Cassis, Brie & Bordeaux, Saleh al Lago, Bandoleone, The Stalk Exchange and more.

We hope KCTS 9 Chefs 2008 will inspire you to join KCTS as a member and to get the companion cookbook for yourself – it's packed with more than 200 recipes, from starters to desserts. We are also offering a DVD of the show. Enjoy!
